In November 2016 the 100,000th electric car was registered in the Netherlands. Internationally this makes us one of the frontrunners in the field of electric mobility. The publication Electric Mobility in the Netherlands – Highlights 2016 starts with these facts. In cooperation with EG Media, APPM-colleague Jeroen Veger has drawn up this publication.
The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) stimulates electric driving on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and publishes this report on an annual basis. The publication considers the most important activities and results in the field of EV. An example of this is the fact that last year almost 25,000 new electric cars were registered in the Netherlands. Additionally, the number of public charging points increased by almost 60%.
