During his master degree Business Administration at the University of Amsterdam, Bob wrote a thesis on bicycle sharing in Europe. What can Amsterdam learn from (un-)successful bicycle sharing projects in Europe?
After completing his master, Bob did an internship on behalf of Foreign Affairs at the Dutch Consulate General in San Francisco, which was part of the program Coast to Coast Smart Mobility. As project manager of the American part of the STORM World Tour, Bob was responsible for the entire script. This included visits to governmental bodies, universities, businesses and public events. The STORM World Tour – an initiative of Eindhoven University of Technology – concerned a self-developed full electric motorcycle travelling around the world within 80 days. The journey in the United States went from Seattle to New York, in-between which they visited all the American Smart Cities.
This journey made a big impression. After discovering the magic of smart mobility, Bob is now a junior project manager with the ambition to make mobility smarter, cleaner and more beautiful.
