Annabel van Zante

As enthusiastic junior consultant, Annabel is active in the field of mobility and energy. She is interested in a broad range of energy-related subjects and is driven by the vision to make existing processes more sustainable without sacrificing comfort. She draws satisfaction from bringing together a varied group of stakeholders with diverging perspectives. Annabel works in a structured way, with an eye for detail as well as the greater whole. She has an open and active attitude, and enjoys working together with other stakeholders to achieve good results.

Due to her background in Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven University of Technology, she has knowledge on technological as well as social aspects. This already shows her versatility in projects. This is also emphasized by her master thesis, which concerned the role of municipalities in stimulating sustainable mobility. Besides focusing on the social and organizational aspect of municipalities, she considered a technical case study on the wireless charging of electric vehicles.

Annabel works for public and private parties, on topics including electric mobility, (smart) charging infrastructure and renewable energy. She is the co-author of a booklet that describes local and renewable Dutch initiatives, and the legal barriers that these projects come across in their scale-up. Furthermore, she has done a study on what bottlenecks innovations in the field of transport and mobility face when they want to scale up. Currently, Annabel is engaged in the Living Lab Smart Charging. This open platform is the world’s largest operational testing area for smart charging solutions.
